Research

Qualitative research

This research was conducted employing a quantitative methodology. A survey was distributed to various footwear groups on social media platforms to collect data on the complaints and challenges faced when purchasing sneakers through online applications. The primary focus of this study is to identify the issues and frustrations that consumers encounter during the sneaker ordering process.

- Identify the age groups most likely to purchase and wear sneakers.

- Identify the most popular sneaker brands among Nigerian consumers

- What is the typical price range for sneakers purchased

- Are sneakers bought online, in physical stores, or both?

Priority matrix

This priority matrix clearly shows us which tracks and features need our attention. We make sure that our choices are well received by our audience by carefully studying their needs through in-depth research.

User personal

We had to build with the main user persona in mind so that our choices would be right for the people who would use the product. The main user wants good sneakers and needs a quick delivery method. She also wants fair prices.

Competitor analysis

Our competitive analysis has yielded valuable insights into user flows, features, and visuals that we will apply to our redesign. We will integrate effective UI design patterns from direct competitors, including Mona Mattew, Heels Marketplace, and Shoe Place, to improve our user experience.

User flow

After I finished my sketches, I decided to use them to create a feature that simplifies transactions for customers, to incorporate techniques that allow people to simply order sneakers without problem.

Usability testing

Define Testing Goals

Testing Method:

 Task-based (self-guided)

5 simulated users (based on e-commerce best practices)

Participants:

 Success rate, time-on-task, pain points

Key Metrics:

Iterations

Thanks to usability tests, I’ve identified four major iterations to my original project:

Lessons Learned

- The endeavor to maintain simplicity can significantly influence the ultimate result, ranging from flowcharts to the prototype experience.

- The significance of having a user interface library that is well-designed and constructed with the help of components, variants, and frames

Maintaining uniformity in your designs is a certain technique to save down on development.
